‘Skyrocket’ stands out with its distinctive narrow, upright shape. The tightly packed foliage has a lovely silvery-blue colour that creates a sleek, contemporary look. This colour stays the same all year round, making it a reliable evergreen choice for gardens.
This variety grows quickly and can get up to 15 feet tall or higher, but stays narrow – usually only 2-3 feet wide. Its slim shape makes it perfect for small spaces or adding height to your garden.
‘Skyrocket’ is tough and flexible like other junipers. It does best in full sun and likes soil that drains well. Once it’s settled in, it can cope with dry spells, so it works well for water-wise gardening or low-fuss gardens.
Garden Uses
The unusual shape of ‘Skyrocket’ makes it useful in different ways:
- Screening: Its tall, thin shape is great for privacy screens or windbreaks without taking up much room sideways.
- Feature Plant: It makes a real statement when planted on its own, particularly in smaller gardens where its height really shows.

Care
‘Skyrocket’ doesn’t need much looking after. Water it regularly while it’s getting established, but once mature it can manage with less attention. It naturally grows upwards without much side growth, so you won’t need to prune much unless you want to keep it at a certain height.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
