Dawn Redwood ‘Snow Flurry’ *Metasequoia glyptostroboides*, also sold as ‘Pat McCracken’ and ‘McCracken’s White’, has been a brilliant addition to tree growing since 2005. Pat McCracken found and brought this special variety to the world from North Carolina, and it’s become popular for its lovely cream-white marked leaves and tall, straight growth.
The white markings on the leaves look just like fresh snow has lightly covered the tree’s soft, feathery branches. While it first appeared in America, this variety became more widely available across Europe when Edwin Smits Nursery in the Netherlands started growing it from 2009. Its unusual leaf colours and strong upright shape make it perfect for creating eye-catching features in gardens, giving interest throughout the year and standing out beautifully against other green plants.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
