Colorado Spruce ‘Fat Albert’ Picea pungens ‘Fat Albert’ is a compact, slow-growing evergreen with a neat conical shape, characterised by its rough, grey bark and thick, upward-growing branches.
The tree produces rigid, sharp-pointed needles in attractive blue-grey tones, along with barrel-shaped cones that start green before turning light brown as they mature.
This spruce typically grows to 2.5–4 metres tall with a width of 1.5–2.5 metres over 10–20 years.
It thrives in deep, well-drained but moisture-retentive soil that’s neutral to slightly acidic, and does best in full sun.
This tough tree is fully hardy (H7 rated) and works well in different garden styles including formal, urban, and seaside gardens, whilst needing minimal care.
Supplied in a 7 litre pot between 60/80cm tall.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
