The Deodar Cedar *Cedrus deodara* is a stunning evergreen conifer that adds Himalayan elegance to British gardens. Young trees benefit from regular watering, especially during dry spells, but once established, they’re quite drought-tolerant. Pruning isn’t usually necessary as the tree naturally develops an attractive shape. However, you can remove any dead or damaged branches in late winter if needed. The Deodar Cedar is generally resistant to pests and diseases, adding to its low-maintenance appeal. It’s important to choose the planting site carefully, considering the tree’s eventual size and spread. Protect young trees from strong winds until they’re well-established. With proper care, this magnificent tree can live for several hundred years, becoming a long-lasting feature in your landscape.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
