Leylandii Cupressocyparis leylandii is a rapidly growing evergreen that has remained a favourite in gardens across Britain for many years. Its speedy development and capacity to form thick, towering hedges makes it ideal for gardeners wanting to create privacy screens or shelter from wind without waiting years.
This tree can put on up to 3 metres of growth annually in its early years, potentially reaching over 20 metres tall if left to its own devices. This quick development is what makes it so appealing, though it does mean you’ll need to stay on top of regular clipping to maintain control.
The foliage is thick and feathery, with colours varying from deep green through to blue-green shades depending on which type you choose. This dense growth creates excellent habitat for wildlife, particularly birds, so it’s great for those wanting to encourage nature into their space.
You can use Leylandii in loads of different ways. It works well for neat hedging, screening unsightly views, or creating barriers against strong winds. Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
