‘Skyrocket’ stands out with its tall, slender, columnar shape. The silvery-blue foliage is densely packed, creating a sleek, contemporary look. This evergreen keeps its colour all year round, making it a reliable choice for gardens.
This is a quick-growing variety that can grow up to 15 feet tall or higher, whilst staying narrow at just 2-3 feet wide. Its slim form makes it perfect for small spaces or adding height to your garden.
‘Skyrocket’ is tough and versatile like other junipers. It does best in full sun with well-draining soil. Once settled in, it copes well with dry conditions, which makes it great for water-wise gardening or easy-care gardens.
Uses in Landscaping
The distinctive shape of ‘Skyrocket’ makes it useful for different garden purposes:
- Screening: The tall, narrow growth is perfect for privacy screens or windbreaks whilst using very little ground space.
- Specimen Plant: Makes an impressive focal point when planted on its own, particularly in compact gardens where its height really shows.
- Borders: Plant several in a line to make eye-catching borders or boundaries in bigger gardens.
Maintenance
‘Skyrocket’ needs little care. Water regularly whilst it gets established, but mature plants can cope with some drought. It grows naturally upwards with limited side growth, so pruning is rarely needed unless you want to control the height.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
