The Nootka Cypress *Chamaecyparis nootkatensis* ‘Green Arrow’ is an impressive slender, upright evergreen that forms a distinctive column shape. Its thin profile works brilliantly in gardens where space is tight. The deep green leaves hang in elegant, drooping sprays that give year-round structure and style.
This cultivar develops into a tall, narrow column, growing up to 10 metres high whilst remaining surprisingly slim at only 1 metre across. The branches grow almost straight up, staying close to the central trunk, forming a tidy, spear-like outline that keeps its shape without any trimming needed.
The leaves form flat, fern-like sprays that droop downwards, giving the tree a gentle, flowing look even though it grows so straight and tall. This mix of strong upward growth and drooping foliage makes it brilliant for adding height without taking up much room in smaller gardens or tight spots.
‘Green Arrow’ thrives best in damp, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Whilst it likes regular watering when young, it copes well with dry spells once settled in. It’s worth planting somewhere sheltered from strong winds. No pruning is needed as it naturally keeps its slim, upright shape. A mulch around the base helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
