Blue Cedar of Lebanon *Cedrus libani* ‘Glauca’ is a stunning evergreen conifer that adds timeless beauty to any garden. This variety is famous for its beautiful blue-grey foliage, which gives the tree a lovely silvery look all year round.
The tree grows into a broad, pyramid shape with wide horizontal branches that form striking layered tiers. This impressive structure becomes even more dramatic as the tree gets older, making it a real showstopper.
During spring, you’ll see male cones appearing and releasing yellow pollen, whilst female cones grow into large, upright barrel shapes on the branches. These cones can stay on the tree for several years, which adds extra character.
Thanks to its grand size and unique blue colouring, ‘Glauca’ makes a spectacular centrepiece in larger gardens, parks, or estates. It provides constant beauty throughout the seasons and gives gardens a real sense of maturity.

Plant Cedrus libani ‘Glauca’ in well-draining soil in full sun. It tolerates a wide range of soil types but prefers slightly acidic to neutral conditions. Water regularly during establishment and in prolonged dry periods, although it becomes drought-tolerant once established. Apply a layer of mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Minimal pruning is required; remove only dead or damaged branches as needed. Protect young trees from strong winds and heavy snow loads. Feed sparingly with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring if growth seems slow.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
