The Dwarf Mountain Pine Pinus mugo mughus is a lovely compact conifer valued for its dense, bushy growth and neat form. Coming from Europe’s mountain regions, this small tree makes a wonderful addition to gardens. It has short, dark green needles that thickly cover the branches, giving it a full and lively look throughout the year. Its slow-growing nature and low, spreading growth pattern make it perfect for rock gardens, alpine areas, or as ground cover in tight spots.

This tough pine does well in free-draining soil and full sun, coping easily with rough weather and poor ground conditions. You can plant it on its own as a feature, group several together for impact, or use it to highlight other garden elements – the Dwarf Mountain Pine brings alpine charm and strength to any outdoor space.

Dwarf Mountain Pine prefers well-drained soil and full sunlight. Water regularly during the tree’s establishment period, then maintain moderate moisture levels. Prune selectively to maintain its desired shape and remove any dead or diseased branches.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.

Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..

Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
