The Pumilio Mountain Pine Pinus mugo ‘Pumilio’ is a lovely dwarf conifer that gardeners love for its neat, compact shape and thick, bushy growth. This variety comes from Europe’s mountain areas and makes a wonderful addition to any garden. ‘Pumilio’ has short, dark green needles that pack densely along its branches, giving it a full, lively look all year round. It grows slowly and spreads low, making it perfect for rock gardens, alpine areas, or covering ground in tighter spots.
This tough pine does well in free-draining soil and bright sunshine, coping easily with rough weather and poor ground conditions.
You can plant the Pumilio Mountain Pine on its own as a feature, group several together for bigger impact, or use it to highlight other garden elements – it brings mountain charm and strength to any outdoor space.
Pumilio Mountain Pine prefers well-drained soil and full sunlight. Water regularly during the tree’s establishment period, then maintain moderate moisture levels. Prune selectively to maintain its desired shape and remove any dead or diseased branches.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
