The Japanese Red Pine ‘Alice Verkade’ *Pinus densiflora* makes a wonderful choice for gardens with its eye-catching red bark and elegant spreading habit. This particular variety adapts well to our climate and will grow happily in various soil conditions, coping well whether the ground is dry or moist.

The Japanese Red Pine ‘Alice Verkade’ requires minimal care once established. It prefers a sunny to partially shaded spot in the garden. Water young trees regularly until they are fully established. Mulching helps retain moisture and suppress weeds. Annual pruning is not necessary but remove any dead or damaged branches to maintain its appearance and health.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
