The Green Penguin Dwarf Mountain Pine Pinus mugo ‘Green Penguin’ is a delightful compact evergreen shrub that adds a playful character to gardens. Originally from the harsh mountain areas of Europe, this variety has a thick, rounded shape with vivid green needles that stay colourful throughout the year.
‘Green Penguin’ is valued for its leisurely growth and small size, making it perfect for modest gardens, rock gardens, or pots. Though it’s quite small, this pine creates real visual impact, adding texture and form to flower beds or mixed plantings. It does well in free-draining soil and bright sun, coping with various soil conditions and weather. You can use it as a single feature plant, plant several together, or include it in alpine-style gardens – the Green Penguin Dwarf Mountain Pine brings personality and appeal to any garden space.

Seeds
We generally send seeds out via Royal Mail Second Class. It’s the safest and easiest way to deliver seeds.
Young Trees
Young trees (Less than 1.2m) will generally be sent via Evri.
Larger quantities of young trees will be sent via ParcelForce or pallet courier..
Huge Trees
Some of our huge trees are too tall to be sent via a courier. They are generally only available for collection from our nursery, local delivery or via occasionally pallet courier. This will be shown on the individual product page.
